LIFELONG APPROACH TO FITNESS

Derek Sandino has been doing personal training with Coach Sam 2-3x per week since the Summer of 2019.

In Coach Sam’s words
“We took a lifelong approach to fitness and health and integrated it into his life slowly. I taught him discipline in showing up at the gym, how to proportion his food and showed him a way to make fitness fun and enjoyable.

Sandino walked into the gym at 303lbs the summer of 2019 and today, on June 28th 2021, he weighed in at 221lbs. But more importantly, he is stronger physically and mentally. He is pain free and feels like a new person. He can hike with his dog Luna without pain and knows he gained years on his life and will be there for his future kids and grandkids.”

“I have been working with Coach Sam for a few years now. Coach Sam has taught me how to integrate fitness and a healthy diet into my day to day life. In the last 2 years I’ve done personal training with Coach Sam 3x a week and when the covid-19 lockdowns began and the gyms were closed, she provided me with daily online programming to follow at home with the minimal equipment I had access to.

Sam has helped keep me motivated and on track with my exercise routine and sustainable eating habits that fits my lifestyle. When I started working with her, my initial goal was to hit 220lbs along with small goals of getting my first strict pull up and being able to do a wall walk upside down. With her help I have come a long way in achieving many of the goals we have set out for me and I am excited to see what I can accomplish as I continue my fitness journey with her. I can’t thank Sam enough for helping me turn my life around, this is the healthiest and fittest I have ever been in my life and I owe it all to her!”
